The tropics is a region of the Earth by the Equator. It is limited in latitude by the Tropic of Cancer in the northern hemisphere at approximately 23° 26′ 16″ ( or 23.438° ) N and the Tropic of Capricorn in the southern hemisphere at 23° 26′ 16″ ( or 23.438° ) S. The tropics are also referred to as the tropical zone and the torrid zone (see geographical zone). The tropics include all the areas on the Earth where the Sun reaches a point directly overhead and a point directly underneath at least once during the solar year. Outside the tropics, the Sun never reaches a point directly overhead or a point directly underneath at any time during the year. From Wikipedia under the

Asked by DANNY - Wed Aug 22 04:52:24 2007 - - 16 Answers - 2 Comments A. yes that is no problem. I live in Edinburgh (u.k) and I'm lucky to have alot of good quality aquarium shops that i can buy fish from knowing i can buy without them dying on me. Inspect the tanks before buying, if fish are dead or look ill in the tank then dont buy them. As long as you dont over stock the tank and if you do make sure you have a good filter and keep on top of weekly water changes and vac the gravel. You should only add 2 or 3 fish at 1 time so the others dont get stressed out as then they can get diseases. Leave fish to settle in for 2 weeks before you add anymore fish Answered by Pete - Wed Aug 22 05:48:37 2007 How do tropical plants living in greenhouses in Europe cope with less hours in winter? Q. Q. I would like to set up my first tropical fish tank, as I have been looking after the one we have in work for about 6 months now and absolutely love them so much I want my own to look after at home :) I'd like some advice from seasoned fish keepers on the best way to set up my tank, any tips and better ways to do things that you've picked up in your experience? Thanks! Asked by kells - Mon Jul 16 08:50:39 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. The single most important point I think is for you to understand the nitrogen cycle of the tank and what it will mean tot he first few weeks of the tank. Instead of typeing all day, I' would like to refer you to the link below. On the opening page and for a few pages after it will cover the basics you'll need to get started. It's well wortht he read and you will be very glad you did! Hope that helps MM Answered by magicman116 - Mon Jul 16 09:50:10 2007 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Tropical" See also:
